Killybegs G.A.A. Notes

Membership is now due and the closing date for membership is March 19th.
 
Membership can be paid currently to team managers and officers. On Friday the 19th March from 10.30 until 4.00pm in the Diamond centre Killybegs membership will be accepted , this will be the FINAL date membership will be taken before registration is sent to Croke Park. All Players must have membership paid to be covered by the Players Injury Scheme.
 
The Galotto had no winner this week. The numbers were 2, 10, 20, and 24. Siobhan McBrearty, Killybegs won €50 consolation. Enda McHugh, Carntullagh, Bruckless won €25 consolation. Next weeks Galotto jackpot is €2,050. Jimmy White’s team is selling this Saturday 20th.
 
There was no winner of Bingo Jackpot. Consolation prize went to Nora Kennedy, Kilcar. Next weeks Jackpot will be €1,350 on 46 calls.
 
Our new Development will be opened on Saturday the 15th May 2010 by the President of the G.A.A Mr Christy Cooney. The New Development will be officially named the Eamon Byrne Memorial Park after the late Eamon Byrne who passed away while playing for Killybegs. The Days event will start with an under age GO GAMES followed by Killybegs V Tir Conaill Gaels and later Donegal V Leitrim.
 
Work is currently ongoing to ensure the development is ready and each Tuesday night @ 8.00 on the first floor of the Diamond Centre Killybegs a meeting will take place for all members to become involved and bring in ideas, help will be needed on the day and on the lead up to the day. The club is currently seeking any old articles, photographs, etc for the programme on the day. The club is also this year starting research into a book on the History of Killybegs G.A.A.; you can forward information by email to

Or give research to any club member. The club would like to pay tribute to all those currently doing all the work at the new development, all this work is voluntary and ongoing and we hope to see some more bodies up helping out.
